You might or might not remember !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! featured on a simulcast of the Lifetime and Oprah netrowk Oppo, about my hail damage and the repair job. Well, after careful consultation I have decided to take the cash option and not get the car fixed. $5,000 will be paid to me, paid against the note of the car and subsequently I will have probably $500 cash left over which will promptly got wards another $5,000 loan soon to be taken out for the new-ish Kitchen. Goddammit. Nut, that does free up $220 of car payments over the next two years to use for said kitchen. that mini will get done someday....

We used to have a 99 Camry that was damaged by golf ball sized hail. It was 10 years old at that point, so we didn't bother getting the damage repaired. It was nice in a sense, because it reduced a lot of stress about keeping the exterior nice. We no longer had to care about parking lot dings. None of the glass or lights were damaged, so that was a plus.

No. I'm gonna keep the Mazda3 and drive it all dented up. Paid off for a couple of years. It's really only "the airport car" being driven to and from for work. The commuter. I put 7-8,000 mile on it in a year and all it does is sit at the airpot or sit at the house unless i have some errands to run but that's it. The replacement car is on jackstands in the garage waiting a new floor (78-mini) but the kitchen gets new cabinets/counter instead this year.

no replacement. i drive the dented hail damaged car. It's black so it doesn't look so bad until you get closer., but it's only a commuting car anyway really. Sits at the airport for 4 days then home for 3 every week.

Ah, that's a good plan.
